Chatham County Partnership for Children

“Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a child.”

~Ron Wild

The Partnership promotes opportunities for all our young children to grow up safe, healthy, and able to succeed. In collaboration with our community partners, we plan, fund, and implement quality early childhood education, health, and family support initiatives.

Collaborating

At the Partnership for Children collaboration is the key to success. The Partnership's mission is to bring groups working for families and young children in the county together - in order to avoid duplication, share ideas, and make life better for young children. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more about the following committees and other committees which you can help us with.

Focus on Family Support is a collaboration of our Smart Start funded family support programs and other groups  that work with families of young children.

Focus on Child Care includes representatives from Smart Start funded child care programs, child care providers, and other interested community members. Focus on Child Care meets once a month and holds two training events  each year for child care providers.

Focus on Child Health is a collaboration of the Partnership and local health service agencies. This group works to survey available child health statistics and information in order to identify needs or gaps in services.
