How we plan
Our strategic planning process is based on solid information about
our community's needs for young children. A committee made of of
members of the Board and the staff set goals and use information
to make plans on how to reach these goals.
Collaboration
At the Partnership for Children collaboration is the key to success.
The Partnership's mission is to bring groups working for families
and young children in the county together - in order to avoid
duplication, share ideas, and make life better for young children.
Focus on Family Support is a collaboration of our
Smart Start funded family support programs and other groups
that work with families of young children. Focus on Family Support
meets once a month.
Focus on Child Care includes Smart Start funded child care
programs, including the county's child care resource and referral
agency, Child Care Networks; child care providers; the early childhood
program at the Central Carolina Community College; and other interested
people. Focus on Child Care meets once a month and holds two conferences
a year for child care providers.
Focus on Child Health is a collaboration of the Partnership
and local health service agencies. This group works to survey available
child health statistics and information in order to identify needs
or gaps in services.
